Ed Robinson
Chief of Police




     Ed has been with the Police Department and Town of Moorcroft since November of 2003.

     Ed began his "career" in Law Enforcement when he joined the Air Force in 1984 and spent 4 years as a Security Forces member, until he was honorably discharged.

     Before coming to Moorcroft, Ed was Chief of Police in Wamsutter, Wyoming. His law enforcement experience spans over 20 years of Law Enforcement, all of it in Wyoming. He started his career with the Rock Springs Police Department, in Rock Springs, Wyoming. He worked there from 1988 until 1995, working as a Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, SWAT team member, Detective, and Narcotics Investigator.

     Ed left the Rock Springs Police Dept. in 1995 and went to work for the Sweetwater County Sheriff's Office in Green River, Wyoming. While there he worked as a Patrol Deputy, SWAT Team Leader, Investigator, and Bomb Technician.

     Ed went to work for the Wamsutter Police Department in 2001. He was Chief of Police until 2003 when he came to Moorcroft.
